Lei Zhang is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida. She received her Ph.D. from the Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research focuses on firm partnerships and cooperation. In particular, she studies the formation, evolution, and performance consequences of venture capital firm syndicates using both field evidence and large sample analysis. Her work has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. She teaches courses on strategy, venture capital, and advanced topics in entrepreneurship in master programs.
