Stephen Chen is Professor in International Business and Head of the International Business Discipline at the University of Newcastle. He earned his PhD degree from Imperial College, London, his MBA degree from the Cranfield School of Management and his BSc degree from King’s College, London. His primary research interests are in the areas of global strategy, entrepreneurial strategies and corporate social responsibility. His research has been published in journals such as Management International Review, Journal of World Business, and Journal of Business Ethics. He has also held teaching and administrative positions at other universities in Australia, UK and US including City University Business School, Manchester Business School, Henley Management College, the Australian National University, Macquarie University and UCLA. Before becoming an academic he worked in industry in R&D, Information Systems and Business Development roles. He has been a member of the Strategic Management Society since 1997.
