Gianmario Verona is Professor of Management in the department of Management and Technology at Bocconi University. He is currently a visiting faculty member at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and has also been a visiting scholar at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests lie at the intersection of competitive strategy and innovation and more specifically include three areas: dynamic capabilities, knowledge integration, and open and user innovation. His work has been published in several books and in a variety of top academic journals. Gianmario Verona is a long time member of the Strategic Management Society. In the most recent years he has served the Society in a variety of roles and he is currently a “Friend of the SMS”. He was a co-chair of the SMS Annual International Conference held in Rome in 2010. He served the Competitive Strategy interest group first as a representative-at-large (2006-2007) and then as Associate Program Chair, Program Chair and Chair (2008-2010). In addition, he's currently member of the editorial board of the Strategic Management Journal.
