David Deeds is currently The Schulze Chair in Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas and the Director of the Morrison Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He has held faculty positions at The University of Texas (Dallas), Case Western Reserve University Temple University. He founded the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Dallas and created the concentration in Bioscience Entrepreneurship at the Weatherhead School of Management. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1994. David Deeds’ articles have appeared in numerous outlets including The Journal of Business Venturing, The Strategic Management Journal, and The Journal of Product Innovation Management. His current research interests include the role and process of innovation and entrepreneurship in family business, the management of strategic alliances, new product development processes, technology commercialization, market entry strategies and innovation management.
