Nur Ahmed is a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Sloan. He completed his PhD in Strategy from Ivey Business School, Canada. His research examines firms’ innovation and technology strategy, more specifically corporate science and R&D disclosure strategy. He examines the factors that motivate firms to pursue basic scientific research and voluntarily disclose internal research in the public domain (e.g., publications, patents). To this end, he built a research program of corporate R&D using Artificial Intelligence as an empirical context. Drawing on strategic management literature, and using Big Data, Machine learning (NLP), and interviews, he builds testable models of the world that can help managers to make decisions.
