Timothy Werner is an Associate Professor of Business, Government and Society and the Eleanor T. Mosle Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. His research examines external stakeholder management, with a focus on how corporate political activity intersects with corporate social responsibility and corporate governance. In addition to publishing a book with Cambridge University Press, his work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, and Management Science. Currently, he is serving as the chair of the Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group and is a senior editor at Organization Science. Recently, he has helped organize the SSIG’s paper development workshops, as well as SMS extensions on non-market strategy in Austin (2017) and Madrid (2018). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, and he teaches elective courses on non-market strategy across multiple levels of McCombs’ curriculum.
