Oliver Schilke is an Associate Professor of Management and Organizations at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. He received a PhD in Sociology from UCLA and was a Research Fellow at Stanford University. Oliver’s research focuses on organizational capabilities, trust, and legitimacy. He studies these phenomena in contexts such as interfirm alliances, entrepreneurship, and strategic decision-making. His research has been published in top academic journals, including SMJ, AMJ, ASQ, OrgSci, ASR, and PNAS. Oliver has won multiple awards for his research and teaching, including an Emerging Scholar Award from the Strategic Management Society, a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation, an Ascendant Scholar Award from the Western Academy of Management, and a Choice Award for Outstanding Faculty from the Eller College Dean’s Council. Oliver is currently a Guest Editor for Organization Science and serves on the editorial boards of four other academic journals.
