Turanay Caner is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at North Carolina State University. Turanay’s research focuses on how firms’ alliance network and knowledge portfolio characteristics, new product performance goals, and strategic leadership influence their problem solving as indicated in invention and innovation, and financial performance outcomes. In her current research, complementing her work in problem solving at the firm level, she studies how individuals involved in interdisciplinary research solve problems in the context of hybrid organizations and entrepreneurial ventures. Turanay’s work has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management. Turanay teaches strategic management in undergraduate and MBA programs. Prior to earning her doctorate at University of Pittsburgh University, she worked in the financial services and electronics industry in US and Turkey.
