Jacqueline (Jax) Kirtley is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research uses multi-year longitudinal field studies to examine how early stage entrepreneurial firms developing hard-science and technology innovations evolve their strategies and technology products. Her work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal. Jax received her PhD in strategy and innovation, as well as an MBA, from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. Prior to that, she earned a bachelors and a masters degree in Ocean Engineering from MIT. She is a recipient of the 2016 Kauffman Dissertation Fellowship.
