Robert M. Wiseman, Ph.D. is the Sr. Assoc Dean and Eli Broad Legacy Fellow of Management in the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Wiseman's research interests include modeling strategic decision making under uncertainty, strategic risk management, and the role of risk in executive compensation, and corporate governance. He is the recipient of the Withrow Teacher-Scholar and Lewis Quality Awards from the Broad College, and four Professor of Excellence awards from the Weekend MBA program. A best paper award from the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management and past chair of the Strategic Leadership and Governance Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society. He has published over 30 articles and chapters appearing in the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organizations, and the Harvard Business Review.
