Elizabeth Maitland is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and International Business at the Australian School of Business, the University of New South Wales, and a Visiting Professor at the Nanjing Business School, Nanjing University (the People’s Republic of China). Her research focuses on the activities and strategic decision-making of multinational enterprises (MNEs). Based on empirical fieldwork with the senior executive teams and board directors of a number of MNEs, she has studied the cognitive aspects of decision-making processes, drawing on behavioural strategy and international business theory. She also studies corruption and the nature of state-MNE relations. She serves on the editorial boards of The Journal of International Business Studies and Human Relations, and her research has been published in leading international journals.
