Jon Eckhardt

Jon Eckhardt is the Robert W. Pricer Chair in Enterprise Development and the Executive Director of the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a member of several non-profit and corporate boards. Jon is also a cofounder of gener8tor, a top ranked business accelerator based in Wisconsin which has helped to build over 80 companies that have gone on to raise over $200 million dollars in venture funding and employ over 2,000 people. At the University of Wisconsin, Professor Eckhardt teaches in the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D. and executive education programs. He has won several awards for teaching and researching entrepreneurship, including a fellowship from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. He was awarded a Schulze Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship by the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation in 2015 which was renewed by the foundation in 2018. Eckhardt served on active duty in the United States Army from 1988-1991.
