Emeritus Membership Details
Starting with the 2008 membership year, the SMS will introduce a special Emeritus membership status with a significantly reduced annual membership fee.
The Board of the SMS hopes that with this measure the Society will continue to provide a home for long time members after they retire from their professional activities. To qualify for the Emeritus Status, individuals must have passed the age of 68 and have 10 or more years of SMS membership. All membership benefits and privileges will remain. The SMS Executive Office will change the membership status upon request by the member.
