Membership Application / Renewal
You have two options for applying for or renewing your membership:

- If you would rather renew or apply via mail, you can download the 2008 Membership Application form here. Complete payment information must accompany the form.
Types of Membership and Dues
REGULAR — Membership Dues: US$215 for 2008
EMERITUS — Membership Dues: US$115 for 2008
— Individuals who have passed the age of 68 and have been an SMS member for at least 10 years can request to have their membership status changed to “emeritus”. All rights of the full membership remain.
STUDENT — Membership Dues: US$105 for 2008
— For SMS membership purposes, students are individuals who are enrolled full-time, in-residence at the PhD granting institution. Individuals can be members in the SMS on student status for up to 5 years. For the initial year of student status, proof of enrollment from the PhD granting institution and confirmation letter from major professor are required.
